Mr. Khan is an honorary member of the foundation. Along with the team members, at times, he guides and mentors the teams in uplifting the society and helps set the overall direction of the organization. Mr. Khan along with the team began his major philanthropic efforts in 1998, when they formed the first ever free Communication Club, which focused on public speaking, education, training, counseling and improving communication and leadership skills in youth. It was first of its kind in the region where participants met to practice, learn, grow, mentor and share their ideas to improve the society.
Mr. Khan had been an honorary member of numerous social welfare activities and proved himself as the catalyst in the society. In 2005, they launched a cellular based network known as the knowledge sharing club (KSC), well before the inception of social media. Later on, the team initiated another virtual group (GPS) on Facebook and grouped the like minded social activists on a platform. They continued their journey of philanthropy the next decade and transitioned and renamed all their endeavors into a nonprofit, tilted today as TDF. The friends and family pledged their overwhelming support and from this modest beginning the grain of TDF was sowed. It began to germinate as meager contributions started coming from friends, dear & near ones and family members. Since, numerous initiatives have been successfully launched and accomplished from this platform, for the uplifting of the society.
Khan holds a masters degree and has done many training and certifications on organizational effectiveness, problem solving etc. He himself has been training people on leadership, team building, education, youth career counseling, social reforms, system automation, banking and finance. He, along with his team, is an informal member of a few nonprofits and has been instrumental in launching a few of them. He is considered a mentor amongst social circles, a role model in bringing real change in the society and organizations.
